Consultations are normally conducted by the hour. Appointments are made by phone or email with the therapist you are seeing.
All practitioners are registered with their Professional Registration Boards which binds them to strict codes of ethical practice.

MEDICARE AND PRIVATE HEALTH FUNDS
Some private health funds will rebate a set amount per year. It is recommended you check with your private health provider if applicable.
From the 1 November 2006, the Australian Government introduced new Medicare items for psychological treatment by registered psychologists. In order to receive a Medicare rebate you are required to have a referral from your General Practitioner. If eligible you can generally receive up to 12 individual services in a calendar year.
